February 24th, 2009, 12PM to 3PM MST
"Connectathon" is SIF lingo for live connection tests between SIF Agent developers. This month, I'm happy to announce that Edustructures will begin hosting a monthly connectathon for SIF developers. It will be held the last Tuesday of every month, schedule permitting, from 12PM to 3PM MST. We'll set up some zones and chatrooms, and connect any SIF agents we have available.
The theme for this first connectathon will be basic student demographics. We'll have the Edustructures SIFAgent for PowerSchool and the Edustrutures SIFAgent for SASI running in some zones. You are welcome to join, connect, request data, subscribe and listen for events, etc. If anyone else has an SIS agent they want to plug in, please let me know.
We also will allow all connectathon users to log into the ZIS and view the zones they are participating in, as well as chat with the other connectathon participants. We expect it to be a good time and good learning experience for all. If you are interested in connecting your agent, please contact me here: http://sifzone.com/blogs/sifbits/contact.aspx. If you don't have an agent, but you are interested in seeing what a connectathon is all about, you are welcome to try out one of the example SIF Agents that comes with the SIFWorks ADK Evaluation version.
